Don Cornagie, MBA
Managing Partner
Donald Cornagie brings the discipline, preparation, and calm decision-making of a former United States Navy officer to his work as a financial advisor.
Don began his career in the Navy, where he served as a pilot and flight instructor with HM-12, HM-14, and VT-10. After an injury ended his aviation career, he moved into financial services, carrying forward the same principles that shaped his military service: plan carefully, listen closely, prepare for changing conditions, and stay focused on the mission.
Today, Don works with individuals and families on the financial decisions that shape their lives. His approach begins with conversation. Before building a plan, he takes time to learn what matters most to each client, what they have built, and what they are working towards. He identifies how they think about risk, responsibility, family, and the future.
Over the course of his financial services career, Don has served as a financial advisor, branch manager, regional sales manager, and management training advisor with firms including Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. His thirty years of experience gives him a broad view of the industry and a practical understanding of what clients need from an advisor: clear guidance, thoughtful planning, and steady support through both opportunity and uncertainty.
As Managing Partner of Cornagie Wealth Management, Don leads his practice with a commitment to long-term relationships, disciplined planning, and direct, honest dialogue. He believes sound financial advice should be both strategic and personal, helping clients make informed decisions while navigating the real-life events that often come with emotion, complexity, and change.
Don is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned a B.S. in Geophysics, and he received his M.B.A. from the University of West Florida.
Outside the office, Don is an amateur equestrian and raises and competes P.R.E. Andalusian dressage horses. He and his wife, Wendy, live in a restored Pennsylvania fieldstone farmhouse, where horses are part of daily life. Don is the proud father of three children.
